I recently received my first letter from my child, but it is dated last December and I just started my sponsorship three or four weeks ago. The second thing is that my child is only 1 and a half yet there is a picture drawn on the letter that was clearly done by a much older child, if not an adult. It just makes it seem like the letters are not genuine.

Hi Cherry,

While I see that you began sponsoring this sweet kiddo in March, the first letter was indeed written before you began sponsoring. We like to have the kiddos write their first letter before receiving a sponsor so that when they are selected for sponsorship we can send a letter right away and you don't have to wait for months to get the basic info on your kiddo. In addition, I completely understand your weariness about the picture. This picture is actually drawn by the tutor who helped write the letter. You can see at the bottom of your letter that there are some initials. These are the initials of the tutor. :) I hope this is helpful! Please let us know if you have any other questions and we would be more than happy to help!
