I am heading to college this fall and I am sponsoring two wonderful girls. I'm trying to save as much as I can for school and for all of my other expenses and for the girls, but money is tight. Is there any other way to work this out financially other than canceling one or both. It would break my heart.

Hi Janelle! I remember being in quite a similar boat when I was trying to save for college and donate towards my sponsorships as well, and I am honored at your commitment to continue their sponsorships as best you can :). At this time, I am able to cover each of their sponsorships for a full three months. If we start that for July, it would cover them through September. Then in September, I can reduce their sponsorship rates to $19 a month per child for the following six months. That rate would continue through March, which I do realize is not all the way through school. I can push it back so we don't start covering their sponsorship until August or September, which would also push the lower rate a few more months, or we can see where you are financially in March and re-evaluate what our options are at that time. It's totally up to you! I'd absolutely hate for you to not be able to continue with both of your sweet girls either! Maryori and Yeraldi sound like they are very special girls to you, and I know you mean the world to them :).

That would be huge! Thank you so much!
Right now I should be ok because I'm working, but in September is when I'm in school and not working at all. Would that be too much to ask to wait until then? Sorry if I'm being a pain. I probably should have mentioned I started in September. Any help would be extremely appreciated! Thank you so much!

I would love to do that for you, Janelle! I figured we might need to start it a little later, but I wasn't positive. Starting in September and ending in November, we will cover the support completely for your girls. From December through May, we will reduce your sponsorship rate to $19 a month per kiddo, which will total $38. Your rate will increase back to $76 total per month in June 2017 then :). I'll be praying for you as you enter your first year of college too!

My dad's side of the family is very involved with Word of Life, mostly in Florida! I hope you have a wonderful time at that great school :).

Hi I am struggling financially due to lots of doctor/hospital bills for my daughter. I really do not want to cancel my sponsorship but I also know that I can not make the payments for the next several months. Are there any options to help with this? Thanks!!!

Hi Erica, I'm not staff but I was just going to say that I admire you for trying to hang in there with your sponsorship through what sounds like a really hard time, and I just said a prayer for you and your daughter and the rest of your family.

Erica, I am so sorry to hear that you are struggling. I know as a mamma you would do anything to make sure your kiddos are healthy and cared for. I sure hope she is okay! I just took care of the next three months' support for you. Please let us know how you are doing in October as we have other options that may be able to help.
