Hello I am sponsor 07955747 and sponsored Netsanet in Ethiopia  back in March. I have written her several times and have been eagerly awaiting a letter from her which I just received, The problem is that I believe the letter went to the wrong person or this isnt Netsanet. Yes her child ID is correct at the top of the letter but she called me Tanya and she mentioned her parents, but Netsanet is an orphan which is why I chose to sponsor her. Also my child is 6 yrs old not 9 years old as stated in the letter. I understand how easily mistranslation can occur but this does seem extreme. Thank you for listening I am somewhat anxious because I do not know if this is from her or not.

Hi Mjmyers! I am so  sorry that you received a letter with a translation meant for another child's letter. I definitely agree with you, and this is a known issue that we are working to fix as soon as possible. I have sent an inquiry to our Ethiopia office to have the right translation attached to your letter instead of the incorrect one originally attached. As soon  as it is done, we will get the letter resubmitted to your online account.

Thank you very much for looking into this issue Sarah. With my other 2 children the first introductory letters were very helpful in letting me know about the children's lives. This allowed me to continue writing based on what I knew of them. Sarah I do now have concerns if Netsanet got the financial gifts meant for her and her caregiver, but I will wait a few months to see what happens with that. Thank you for the quick reply.

mjmyers, it can take two to three months for monetary gifts to be delivered. In fact, I do show that these very generous gifts are still in process. We track each gift and families must sign on the receipt. You can expect the thank you letter and photo within six months of when the gift was given. This means that your thank you letter should arrive by September 21.
