Is everything okay with Indonesia? I noticed it was removed from the website and I have a correspondent child from there so I was worried.

Hi Rebekah! Yes, everything is fine with Indonesia. The reason you are not seeing any children online from there is because the Passion Conference, a conference held for college kids in the Georgia Dome, partnered with Compassion earlier this month. Through Passion 2017, every child waiting for a sponsor from El Salvador, Indonesia, Rwanda, and Tanzania was sponsored :)!

That's REALLY cool that all of those children got sponsored - yay God!
What's up with the multiple thousands of kids (i.e. 65,000+) that were just posted as available for sponsorship - unless my search screen is just weird?  It's also not sorting them correctly by age, either...

Hi Beth! You may be aware that we are in the process of transitioning to a new system :). This system transition is causing information on our website to show incorrectly which may be causing these children to appear out of order. Please rest assured that our IT Team is aware of these issues, and they are working diligently to resolve them. The possible reason for the unusually high number of available children on our website may be due to our new way of managing our pool of available children :). We used to have separate pools of children for each country partner. Now every child is available all over the world! This is just another way that we are proactively helping children be sponsored quicker. We appreciate your heart for this ministry and thank you for your support!

Oh awesome!  I like the new pool idea, I was able to find 183 kids with my same birth day today - wish I could sponsor all of them! ;-)
Thanks for the clarification Christina! I saw some kids from Indonesia showing up in my search today, so based on Sarah's answer to Rebekah's original post, I was a little confused. THANK YOU to everyone at Compassion for your hard work, I know it's a CRAZY time for y'all!!
