Would it be possible to get more updates about the kids that we sponsor? I don't need a letter sent directly to me, but it would be nice to see an update about the children on the website at least every 6 months. Just posting a new picture really does not tell what's going on in the children's lives. It would be nice to know, if possible,  how the children are doing in school. How things are going in their communities. Info about the child development center they attend would be interesting. How many kids are they averaging each week? Any one accept Jesus as their savior? Any encouraging stories or acts of kindness that they could share?  A story about a staff memeber at the child develpment center.  Any info that lets us know that our gift is making an tangible impact.

Hi Todd! These are some great ideas! Thank you for sharing your feedback with us! Here at Compassion, we are actively working to provide more quality and quicker information about the children to our sponsors. Our current system does not really allow for quick and specialized communication but we are doing what we can with what we currently have to provide more information to sponsors. We are also in the process of updating our systems to improve things even more. We currently send out staff letters to sponsors. These letters typically have information about common issues in their area and the average number of children who attend the center. We also send out and post on the website the "Step Into My Child's World" with information and photos of your child's country, community, and environment. We have started recording videos of children speaking to their sponsor and center staff giving tours of the center. These videos are currently only in certain countries and areas. However, you will begin to see these types of updates more and more in the coming years.
