Right now the news is on. There have been over 800 deaths in Haiti already. I know the questions have to be flooding in but maybe we can do more then just wait and listen for news. We are Christians we are called to take action. We are called to trust in the Lord. Though I am anxious myself on the status of Radaisa. I know that God can and will protect our kids and keep them safe.

So who is with me let us start a prayer chain from our homes.

Dear Heavenly and most gracious Father,

Lord you know our innermost being. You know that we are worried about the status of our kids. Lord we pray for your protection over them. We pray for protection over the families. Lord we ask that you will keep them in Psalms 91. Lord we ask to hear from our kids quickly. We ask for your hand of mercy and protection. In Jesus name.

Amen

Feel free to add your prayers in.

Great idea, Crystal. I would like to add a prayer.

Lord, we praise your great and holy name. Your Word says that you are near to the brokenhearted, and we know that you are with all of your children in Haiti tonight who are grieving in the wake of this storm. Please comfort all of those who have lost loved ones and give them peace that only you can. Please provide food and shelter for those who have had their possessions and livelihoods destroyed. I pray especially for all the kids in Compassion's program and their families as well as the Compassion staff that you would protect them and provide for them and give them strength. Please help the rebuilding efforts to go quickly and smoothly and please help center activities to resume and sponsors and children to be reconnected again soon. In Jesus' name. Amen.

Hi Crystal! Though the Dominican Republic did receive some rain from the hurricane, that side of the island was not affected as badly as the Haitian side was. Raidasa is not on the list of impacted children :).
