I sponson one child and am a correspondent to another. Is there a way I can give a family gift to the child I correspond with? Also, the one I correspond with has thanked me for the financial help, how should I explain the situation to him?

Jody, you can give your correspondent child a family gift. You have to call Compassion or email them to do so. I have many correspondent children and my response is generally that I am glad they got the items they needed (when gifts are mentioned) and that I am happy they are getting the education and having their needs met. Due to translation and such I don't want the children to get confused. The only time I have explained the situation is when I write a final letter when the financial sponsor stops sponsoring for some reason. This is just how I do it, but it is completely up to you if you want to mention it at all. God bless!
