Hi John! I know that entering into college, there are definitely unexpected expenses that come along with it! We appreciate your sacrifice and desire to continue sponsoring despite the extra bills your finding that limit your budget. We do have an option available that would reduce your rate temporarily to $19, but it would resume back to the $38 rate after 6 months. If this would be enough and you only needed it reduced for a semester or a little longer, please let me know.

We do need a $38 monthly commitment for the sponsorship of a child long term however. There are other opportunities to give that you may want to consider while you are still in school.

1. Compassion's Child Survival Program provides for young mothers and their infants. The $20 monthly commitment may better fit your budget.
2. Our AIDS Initiative provides help to AIDS-affected children and their families for only $7 per month.
3. Partners of Compassion is a fund which provides any extra medicine, school and project supplies, and other items that are not covered with the regular sponsorship
support.

Any of these may be set up as a regular monthly commitment or you may give whenever are able. If you have a passion for any of these funds, I would be happy to help you transfer your donations to one of these needs. You can also see our other funds here. Please provide your child's reference number so that I can locate your account once you decide which option works best in your situation, and we can update your account as you feel led.
