I thought there was an age where children were no longer eligible for the program. I'm interested in sponsoring a child that is nearing that time so they don't miss out on this opportunity.

it's usually two years before they graduate (most countries 22), so usually they don't put them on the website after age 20, even though I have seen a few.  I think these guys can still be sponsored if you call and ask for one that old.  Usually these kids are given correspondence sponsors if they don't have a regular sponsor.

Hi William! Thank you so much for catching my mistake in putting Colombia on that list, oops! The maximum completion age for our children in Colombia is 22 and I have removed Colombia from the above list :). I also double checked your girls account and we still expect her to complete in 2018.

Hi Emily. They must have just raised the age limit.I was told on the Honduras sponsor tour they were making changes in the LDP so all countries will have the same age limit at 22.The changes are being made so more sponsor kids can be in the LDP.

Hi William! Yes, you're correct. They have been raising the age limit in most countries to be 22. These changes have been happening over the past several months. Not all of our countries have officially raised their age limit yet but most have.

Emily, is Mexico still 18?  I know it was 18 in December 2013, but I wasn't sure if it had changed yet - thanks :)
