Hi Susan, I am another sponsor and the only way to send a nice gift like that is to send it with another sponsor that is visiting that country or take it yourself. That would be such an amazing gift!! Hope you can find a way to do it! Which country is this?

Hi Susan! Regrettably, in order to be good stewards of the donations sponsors give through our organization, Compassion does not mail physical gifts. Custom fees are astronomical, and there is a very high incidence of theft when sending packages to the developing world. Like Denise mentioned, you are able to deliver the gift to our country office yourself. If you know anyone who would be traveling to Peru, you are welcome to ask them to help get the gift to Jordan as well!

Peru. I don't know anyone that travels anywhere. I cannot travel due to back problems & immune system problems. I had picked out them pattern & the material but had not started it yet. I was trying to see how to get it there. The plans were to make it a present for the Christmas celebration times.
Is there any way I can ship it myself to their church center?

Susan, I would ask to join the Facebook group for sponsors. Often times there are people going on sponsor tours who are willing to take small gifts for others with them. I've been able to send gifts to my kids that way.

Susan, we don't allow sponsors to ship gifts to our country offices or to the church centers themselves. The costs to ship items internationally can be astronomical and our offices and centers in these countries are not set up to process physical gifts. I will happily add you to the Facebook group for sponsors if you'd like to do so. Many of our sponsors on that page travel all over the world and might be willing to take that gift for you :).

Would you please add me to the group as well? I would love to send some things to my sponsor child but it seems our options are very limited. Thank you!
