I'd like to join a Compassion Group Tour to the Philippines, But if I am already in Asia at the time of a the group tour, can I arrange my own flight and meet the group at the airport in the Philippines? Of course, I can pay the group tour fee net of airfare. Lmk your thoughts.

Hi, you can choose to go on a group tour but fly separately. Several people did this on my trip to El Salvador last summer. I would call the tours department ((800) 336-7542) to talk about specifics, but it is definitely an option.

Hi there! Yes, this is definitely an option. We occasionally have people who are already in country or in the area travel with us on tours. You are welcome to talk with our tours department or just place on your application for the trip that you will need "ground" transportation only, meaning that you will meet the group in the Philippines. Obviously, you total cost will be much less since you will not need plane tickets from the US to the Philippines and vice versa.
