Hello, none of my letters to Javi (EC045600886) have went through. One has been waiting since July. Is this a glitch or have they really not been sent? Would it be better to use the physical letters? I only use the online writing tool, but if the paper copies goes through better/quicker I can switch to that. Thanks a bunch!!!

I'm another sponsor, and I'm pretty sure the paper letters do not go through quicker. After they reach Colorado, they are scanned into the system, and I believe at that point they are treated just the same as the electronic letters. So...the electronic letters would have a head start. :-)

Ecuador in particular seems to be being very slow in sending letters through (the last few months. Before that, one of my most regular girls wrote every two months like clockwork). I heard they are implementing new translation software. I have several kids there. I had a letter from 7-23 go through, and then GO back into translation at the end of August and all my letters since have been In Translation ever since.  I did have one letter get through to me from one of those kids. Though there is another still stuck.

Hi Amy! I am so sorry for the confusion with your letters to Javi not having completed processing yet. This isn't a glitch. All of our country offices have just made the transition to a new letter translation tool that they are having to learn, which takes time to become efficient at. While they are making the adjustment to this new software, we have to give these letters time to be translated and work through the system. It looks like that letter from July went back into translation at the very end of August. You should see your letters start to go through to him soon- within the next few months. Like Beth mentioned, all letters are scanned into our system once they arrive at our office in Colorado so sending physical letters won't actually make a difference than sending them online. If anything, online letters will probably show up a little faster.
