Hi,

I got a letter from my sponsored child today, I thought it was from my correspondent child Damaris. Instead I got a letter from Vegui, I discontinued my sponsorship with her a few months ago. Why am I receiving this letter?

Grace, this letter was already in process when you canceled the sponsorship, which is why you still received it. You won't be receiving any further letters from Vegui.

Hi,

I'm worried that Vegui will be upset if I don't write back to her within a few weeks. I received my first letter from her today. I would love to write her back, but I can't since I'm not her sponsor anymore. How do I handle that?

Grace, you aren't able to write back to Vegui since you aren't sponsoring her. Someone at her project will be sure to sit down and gently tell her that she doesn't have a sponsor right now. I'm sorry you can't continue the relationship with her, but I would encourage you to continue keeping her in prayer!

Hi,

Is there any way you could put Vegui on hold for a few months? I plan of getting a job in a couple of months, and might start sponsoring her then.

I am so sorry, Grace, but I cannot put her on hold for you. I know you love this sweet girl, but we do have to give her the best opportunity to find a sponsor. If you do find a job in the coming months and would be able to sponsor her at that time, don't hesitate to ask if she is still available. We'd be happy to look and place her on your account at that time if she is available.
