I sent out letters to my kids in the mail on November 12th, and I'm wondering if there is any way to confirm that you received them? It's been a month, and I haven't seen them show up on my account yet so was a bit concerned.

Also, I received a letter from my Carolay in EC520 a couple of days ago and it was dated 10/2016. My previous letter from her was dated 12/2015. Is it likely that I have more letters from her stuck in the system or did she really not write for 10 months?

Thanks for the help!

Hilary, I'm so sorry that we haven't received and scanned your letters to your children yet. As you may know, physical letters take longer for us to receive, scan, and process. By now, we have most likely received your letters, and it is just a matter of time for them to be scanned :). Thank you for your patience.

I see the two letters from Carolay you are talking about. Yes, it does appear that Carolay went 10 months without writing you a letter :(. I'm so sorry for the lengthy break in between letters from her. In the future, if you have not received a letter from your child after 6 months, please let us know so we can help you :). Many things can cause a delay in receiving letters from your children such as helping the family, school, homework, extracurricular activities, or vacation. I'm not sure why it took Carolay so long to respond to your letters, but I'm so glad that you have heard from her now :). Our children's letters are SO precious, and I understand how hard it is to wait to hear from them. Thank you so much for all the love and encouragement you have been giving your kiddos :).

Thank you for your reply Christina! I did inquire after 6 months, but was just curious if there were other letters in the system. Hopefully there won't be such a big gap between letters next time. Thanks again.

Hi, I was wondering the same thing. I mailed a letter on Sept 27, before I sent the online one on Oct 23. I also mailed a musical birthday card on Nov 8th. My child's birthday is in January and the card references a birthday and family gift that I sent. That makes me nervous if it gets there, say March, and he thinks there is another gift on the way. All my past letters loaded on my account within 3 weeks. Do you have the letter and card? Also, it's time for another monthly letter, should I send it online if you guys have a massive backlog to scan? I'm sponsor # 3975046. Thank you so much! Holly

Hi Holly! Regrettably, the reason your physical letters and cards have not been scanned in the system is because of the same reason as Hilary's letters. We are experiencing a pretty large back log of physical letters that need to be scanned. Our wonderful mail room staff are working diligently to clear up this backlog as soon as possible. Sadly, I cannot guarantee that Mark will receive his birthday card from you by January 25th. However, our field staff and volunteers do a wonderful job of explaining the letter delays in a way that the children can comprehend, so the children understand when letters do not arrive on time. Mark will also see the date of your letter and know that you are referencing the birthday gift you have sent to him. Please rest assured that your letters will indeed make it to Mark. Thank you so much for your patience and understanding.

I understand you probably got a lot of Christmas mail these last few months. Thank you for the clarification!
