How do I check the status of my letters? I can only view, print or duplicate the one that I have sent online, but I don't see where it would be updated about when it's sent/in transit/etc. I have also sent my first letters through the snail mail. Will they show on my account at some point? I understand that all letters take some time but I would just like to know if I can check their status along the way.

Hi Manda Lynn! It looks like your letter is in a status of complete delivered so it is not in transit. If you have a letter that is in transit, and you click on that message, you will be able to see the status.

Also, your snail mail letters will show up on your online account once they have been scanned.

Complete delivered? Does that mean it was already delivered to her? Where in my account can I check the status? I do not see the status bar on my account.

The status bar only shows if there is a letter that is still in transit. If there is no status bar, then all letters have been finished through the process and delivered on the other end (I'm not sure where they are delivered -- to the country office, to be picked up by the center. Or to the center itself.) The status bar does not show when the child received it. Just when it has completed its transit by computer to the other end.  The child will receive it as soon as possible thereafter though.

Hi Manda! Sara is correct :). If you are looking on your account, click on "Write My Child" and then on "My Letters". Through this section on your account, you can tell which letters of yours have already been translated and printed out to be delivered to your child and which ones are still in progress. If the letter has been printed and placed in the project's mail slot to be picked up and delivered, it will show as a light blue bar with an envelope icon next to it. The dark blue bars are letters from your child. If it is still going through processing, it will show up with a grey bar that has a different letter status. I found an example on my own account for you to see what I am talking about:

As Sarah said, we don't have a bar that indicates your child has received it, but the staff from the projects visit the country office to pick up the letters about once a month so it is usually within a month of the time your letter shows up with the light blue bar that your kiddo receives it.
