I received a letter from one of my sponsored children dated January 10. It does show up in my app, but it has an X through it, and I cannot click on it. What does that mean?

Hi, Jennifer and Mel! When your letter is Xed on on your profile, it means the letter has been sent from your child to the National Office, where it is in the translation process. Once this process is complete, you will be able to view the letter. :)

I have the same issue.  A letter from each of my sponsored children need to be translated and they are over a month old? What’s the delay?

Hi Robbie! I know it can be so exciting to receive a letter from your child, and I'm sorry you are having to wait for those letters to be translated. It actually isn't uncommon to see letters taking a month or two to go through the translation process, especially during this time of the year when so many sponsors have written Christmas letters to their children that need to be translated. I'm sorry for the wait, but thank you so much for your patience during this time! A letter should never be in translation for more than three months, though, so if you notice that's the case, then please let us know. We can send an inquiry to your child's center to ask why it's taking that long.
