Hi Laura! I'm so sorry for the poor penmanship on the letter you received! I would be happy to have this re-translated for you and remind our translators to write more clearly. Would you please post the original letter (the untranslated part) here or email it to me at socialmedia@us.ci.org? Thank you for bringing this to our attention!

Hello again! I just sent an inquiry to our field office asking them to translate this letter again and remind the translators to write more clearly. I'll send you the new translation as soon as we have it.

Laura, were you able to understand all of the letter? I can read 99% of it, and would be happy to type out anything you missed if you need it.

Laura, I was just following up on this conversation. It looks like we sent you a new translation on June 19. Please let me know if you have any further questions or concerns.

i recently had a similar problem. I think the person who translated my letter did not translate some things I am learning Spanish and challenged my self to see what I could read and I saw somethings in spanish that were not in english. how would you explain that and should I send you the letter?

Hi Addy, thank you for asking because I certainly understand how this can bring up concerns. I am very sorry if your letter was not translated correctly as we certainly try to avoid these mistakes. Many times, some things that the children write cannot be translated word for word into English because of the language barrier, word usage, and grammar. Because of this, the translators have to paraphrase or re write the sentence so that it makes sense in our language. However, if you are finding big chunks or full sentences in Spanish that are not in the translation of your letter, please send us a copy of the letter and we are happy to re translate it for you to make sure that it was done correctly.

I told God that I knew He knew the word I couldn't figure out, then when I looked at the letter from a different angle, suddenly I knew saw what was written.  "Pray for my STUDY and my family." LOL!
