In app, the cards I sent to the child was not on the list of past letters. Did he really receive our letters?

Anne, how long ago did you send these cards? It could be possible they haven't been scanned into the system yet. Were they pop up cards or musical cards? Those will not get scanned into the system as they are sent as originals.

Hello Anne, I am sorry but I am a bit confused. I show that you have a correspondent writing to your child, Dodanim, in El Salvador. I show this correspondent was set up for the child in April of 2016. When you have a correspondent set up to write back and forth with your sponsored child, you are not able to write them. Would you like me to have the correspondent removed so that you can write to Dodanim?

Anne, a child having a correspondent is something that only happens when the sponsor asks for one because they do not wish to write or can not write their child.
I'm sure Compassion staff will look into this more after the weekend, but is it possible that you asked Compassion to have someone else write your child?

Anne Kay, I sincerely apologize for the confusion. Let me explain a little further. You had sent us a letter in April 2016 saying that you wanted to cancel the sponsorship because you did not write letters to the child. We called and left a message so that we could discuss this with you. When you called back, you agreed to keep the sponsorship if someone else wrote the letters. This is why we had a correspondent assigned. All that said, you always have the right to have a letter writing relationship with your sponsored child. Would you like me to take this correspondent off at this time so that you can resume writing letters?
