Hi have a question about the new “my archived letters” section in the writing part on the web sight. It is not coming up for me. I tried using google chrome did not work. I refreshed page, singend in and out. Is there a trick I am missing. Pleople are saying on Facebook That you should clean browser cache? this May sound stupid but how do you clean your browser cache?

Hi Laura! I'd be happy to walk you through that process. What browser are you using? (Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer, Safari, etc.)

I think it is safari it is the one that looks like a compass. I uses an I pad if so makes a difference.

Thank you for that info! Here's how to clear the cache on Safari on your iPad:

  1. Launch the "Settings" app on your iPad through the home screen.
  2. Scroll down the menu and select "Safari".
  3. Scroll down to the bottom of right hand panel and tap on "Clear History and Website Data".
  4. Confirm by tapping "Clear" from the pop-up window.
That should get rid of anything that may be keeping your account from showing the archived letters. Otherwise, you may have to wait a little while for your account to update.

So I did that still do not have archived letters in writing letters. Is there anything else I can do?

Hi Laura, 
Lets try a couple more things. Were you signed out of your Compassion app when you cleared your cache? If you weren't, your device will not reset the Compassion cache and will just stay logged in. Please log out, clear the cache again and then log back in. If this still does not work, please try logging out of the app, uninstalling the app, installing the app again and then logging in. Please let us know if this works. :)

Okay I logged out of web page and then did what you said. Did not work. It’s a web page on the internet so I don’t think I can uninstall it like a app. I don’t have any old corespondents or sponsored kids yet. But I don’t think that should stop this from showing up on the web page.

If you haven't lost any correspondents or sponsored kids, then I don't think you have any archived letters to see.

Hi Laura! Thank you so much for bringing up that point. Because you don't have any children that have left the program, then there would be no archived letters for you. Once you have a child leave the program, then the "Archived Letters" tab should show.
