I was wanting to find out the status of my letters to Rivaldy as well as if I have anything in transit to me? That blue status bar is not doing it. :0(

Hi Jennifer! I see two letters on the way to you from Rivaldy. Both of them have not made it past the country office in Haiti yet. Because of this, you will likely not be able to view these letters on your account just yet. Also, I just wanted to confirm that I am understanding you correctly so that I know how to troubleshoot  your issue. Are you saying that the blue status bar is not showing the status at all? Are you getting any error messages or is it showing up weird for you?

I just started with Raymond too last month. Is his letter to his paying sponsor or me? Also, I heard his paying sponsor who is from my church said he never wrote him a letter since he started to sponsor 4 years ago. I am not sure if I should tell Raymond in my letter about this situation that I am corresponding for a friend from my church. Also, is it possible to get introduction letter from Raymond and Yohanis ?

Jenny, Raymond's letter will come to you now that you are his correspondent. You are welcome to explain that you write letters while someone else is his financial sponsor, but that's completely up to you. You should get an introduction letter within four months of starting to correspond with a child and it looks like you started correspondent sponsorship in late June and July, so that means you should receive introduction letters from your kiddos in October and November.

Just wanted to double check about introduction letters. I thought it was 4 months for a financially sponsored child and 6 months for a correspondent child. Thanks for clarifying. I know rules can change.

Hey Sally! You are correct! Financially sponsored children should write their first letter within four months of being sponsored, while we do ask correspondents to wait six months before we send an inquiry for a first letter :). Do you have children I need to check on this for?

No, but thanks Sarah. I have 2 inquiries pendings. Fingers crossed I hear back from Leidy in Colombia any day. :-)
I just didn't want anyone to be surprised if they don't hear from a new correspondent within the first 4 months.

Hi Susan, thanks for the reply! I'm super excited to know that two letters are at least on the way! The status bar just shows "In Translation" for the very first letter I wrote and it never showed anything else for the other letters.

Hi Jennifer! It's normal for the letters you have sent to not have a status bar because we are currently manually translating the letters for now. Until we move away from manually translating, you may see that your letter is in translation status for quite a while or you may not see a status at all. I'm so sorry for this inconvenience. I know it is nice to see how close our letters are to our kiddos, but we are definitely working to get to that point :)!

Hi Katherine, You're saying that you're currently translating letters manually. Sounds like this is about to change? How will it be afterwards? Will letters be translated by computers? Thanks in advance :)

Lea, we are rebuilding the translation software right now, but once it is ready we will be going back to translating letters through a computer based software.

Hello. I know that there is a lot of work going into changing the letter writing and translation process, and lots of people with lots of questions. I was just wondering if I had any letters coming my way? Specifically from Kelvin Tettey Siatey my correspondent child (GH-101-0349). I haven't received a letter from him yet. Thank you for your time.

Hi Yahira! Thank you so much for your patience during our transition to this new letter system. I know it hasn't been an easy wait for sponsors to hear from their children, but I have good news for you! We do have a letter currently in process from Kelvin! We are also processing letters from each of your other four children as well :). You should start to see these letters on your account soon!
