How long after we lose a correspondent do we have to write them a final letter? I feel terrible (truly, rotten) that I kind of mentally checked out when there was that mix-up with all those correspondents being assigned and then taken back. Since then I've lost a few more and I just want to gauge how far back I can write to these kids and let them know I didn't just forget about them.

Lindsay, we normally can guarantee delivery up to three months after the child leaves the program to send the final letter. I am not sure if you are asking specifically with regards to the ones that you lost as a result of the error? If so, I am so sorry but we would not be able to deliver a final letter to those kiddos at this point. :( However, please know that your letters were a huge encouragement to those children during the time that you were writing to them!

Thanks, Susan! I was sure it'd be too late for those kids, but I should still have time to write a final letter to few others I lost recently. I was out of the country at the start of the year and wasn't able to write in a very timely manner.
