I started sponsoring a little girl in Bangladesh over a year ago.  I received an initial letter about a year ago.  I have written frequently and added extra support.  With the recent problems there, I wondered if she is still in the Compassion Program?  I will continue to pray for her, if she has not returned.  But if she has not, I would like to choose another child to sponsor.  Can you help me find out?

Hi Lisa! I certainly understand your concern for Mitaly, especially with the situation that we had in Bangladesh last year. We have been able to reopen the Compassion programs in Bangladesh, and it looks like Mitaly is still attending the program. If we receive any information that she is no longer able to attend the program, we will contact you immediately (as we would with any child who has a sponsor.) It is taking time for projects to get back into the familiar routines, including writing letters and recording updated information on children who are due for those, so it may still be a little while before you hear from Mitaly. We certainly hope you do hear from her soon. I know you have been such an encouragement to her during this time. Each one of your letters surely brought hope into her precious life :).

Thank you, Sarah.  I am so glad to hear that Mitaly and her family are still connected to the Compassion Center.  And that the Center is back in service to the children and the community. I will be patient to hear from her.  She will always be precious to Jesus and to me.
