I was wondering, with mailing books, can i send a book that has a soft cover without taking it apart? I know we cannot send hard cover books. But I didnt know if the kid books with covers just a little thicker than the pages were okay to send whole. I want to share books with my sponsor child that my daughter enjoys since they are the same age.
I hope this makes sense!
Thank you

I've had them go through, but really it depends and they might take the cover off in Colorado if you don't.  This is to make sure the book isn't Re-Sellable and won't get stolen in the mail, which is quite common in many of the kids' countries.   You could take the cover off and send it with the book separately though, that way your child can have the cover over it or even tape it back on when it arrives.  Just make sure the book isn't thicker than 1/4".  Also, likely a full book will not be translated, so this will work best if your child speaks English or if you find a book in the child's language.
