While I understand that CiJ'sN is looking for a monthly donation, if I were to pick a couple of Children to Sponsor would I be able to send a present to their Family's if I were so inclined.
If anyone can answer this please feel free to contact me directly.

Hi Albert,

I'm a current sponsor and can assure you that you absolutely can send extra gifts to your sponsored child's family.  In addition to your monthly donation to help provide educational, nutritional, and spiritual support (among other things) you can send up to $100 as a birthday gift for your child as well as up to $100 as a child gift and up to $1000 as a family gift each year.  When you send an additional gift the center staff will meet with the family to discuss how best to use the money and will take them shopping to purchase the items.  The child will tell you what the gift was used for and for gifts over $60 you will receive a photo of what was purchased as well.

If you were referring to sending a physical gift to the family, unfortunately that is not possible with Compassion.  It is often more expensive to ship an item overseas than the item is worth in the first place and there is a high risk of it being stolen somewhere along the way.

Hi Albert! We're so excited that you are interested in sponsoring children through Compassion. Yes, we do allow sponsors to send monetary gifts to their children and the children's families as well, just as Emily mentioned :). Let us know if you have further questions!
