Do more than one person write to correspondent or sponsor kids? When I first got my correspondent child from Indonesia, Junior, there was a letter addressed to someone else. I first thought it was his old sponsor, but yesterday there was a letter dated yesterday from the same person in my account. Am I not the only person writing to my kids? I'm not upset just confused. Thanks for your help!

Hi Rebekah! We have a commitment of one-to-one sponsorship and this includes corresponding too :). However, there is always a possibility of some overlap between when a financial sponsor begins their commitment and when a correspondent is assigned that child to write to. If a financial sponsor chooses not to write to their child for some reason, we will find another person who would like to write to their child, a correspondent sponsor like you. Junior's financial sponsor started their sponsorship 1 month before you became Junior's correspondent. By then, our country office in Indonesia had already sent Junior's stationary for his first letter to his center, and this stationary had the financial sponsor's information on it. That is why Junior's first letter to you was addressed to his financial sponsor instead of you. However, I do see that his 2nd letter to you received on April 6th was addressed to you :). I also see that his 3rd letter to you was put into the system on July 19th, but it is still in translation so I cannot see who it is addressed to. If for some reason Junior was given the wrong stationary or has addressed his financial sponsor instead of you, we will be happy to send an inquiry to our country office. As for the financial sponsor writing to Junior, they should not be doing this, so it may have been an accident or they forgot. Please let us know if this happens again, and we'll be happy to contact Junior's financial sponsor to see if they would like to assume the writing responsibility. Thank you so much for blessing sweet Junior with your loving and encouraging letters!
