A few weeks I ago I logged in to my account to cancel my sponsorship as I have recently lost my job and can no longer afford to sponsor my child financially. My account said I was not linked to a monetary sponsorship and was paying no funds at the time. However my bank notified me yesterday that my credit card was charged $38. I would like this charge reversed and my credit card unlinked. This website is confusing and should be a little more clear about what/when you're getting charged.....

Raina, please accept my sincere apologies for any confusion there was when you logged into your account. I certainly understand your frustration and want to make sure this situation is rectified for you.

I am so sorry to hear about your job and I pray that the Lord would open up another door for you very soon and would provide for you during this time. I understand if you cannot sponsor a child at this time and we can certainly help you. The reason that you did not see this monetary sponsorship on your personal online account is because you were the correspondent for this child and the financial sponsorship was on your companies account. In the case that you ever needed to discontinue your sponsorship, Impact Companies still wanted to ensure that this child was sponsored. This is why the financial sponsorship was placed on the company account and you were made the correspondent for the child. The company did this for multiple employees and advised us that communication was made with their employees who still wanted to donate using their own personal credit cards and not the company card. I deeply apologize if you were not aware of this change to your account and would encourage you to discuss any concerns you have regarding this, with your previous employer.

Please rest assured that we have removed this sponsorship from your account and withdrawals from your credit card have been stopped effective today. I have also requested that the $38 charge that was made on your card be refunded back into your account. We are so grateful for the time that you supported this precious child and I pray that this clears up any concern or misunderstanding there may have been. Please let us know if you have any further questions.
