Hi Darryl! I'm glad you received this update quickly through a letter. Often times, when a child enters the military, they do leave our program because of the commitment that this requires and often times because they are now living in a different area and cannot attend the center. If the base is still near where he lives though and he can still attend, he might not have to leave our program. Regrettably, I can't locate your account by your name or email address to look into this further and see if he'll be leaving or if he'll still be able to attend project activities while serving/training. Please reply with your child's ID number or your sponsor number so that I can locate your account and I'm happy to see if we have further details on this situation.

Hi,
I was informed by mail today from my child's tutor at CDC that he had to join the army ( the armed forces of Columbia ) and that he is not able to write, just wondering what happens next? Is my sponsorship suddenly over?
If so what do I need to do?
Thanks,
Darryl Bobb

Hi Darryl! It looks like you were able to speak with one of our representatives by email this morning. The representative actually sent an inquiry to check into this situation because we don't have a record that he is leaving. It usually takes between six and eight weeks for us to hear back from the office in Colombia, but we will contact you as soon as we receive a response! In the meantime, I would encourage you to keep praying for Oscar to be protected and to do well in his training :).
