One of the letters I've received from Akweley mentions she has a twin sister. I was wondering if I could get more information on her. I feel like I should include both of them in my letters. What would be the best way to do that? Is there a way I could send separate letters?

Hi Kylie! Thank you so much for not only investing in Akweley's life but also wanting to encourage her twin sister as well in your letters :). I checked Akweley's profile and her sister is not registered in Compassion's program. The project leadership knows the needs of their community better than we do and so we let them decide if it is better to have one sponsored child from many families rather than multiple children from one family. Because we don't keep records of her sister, the best way to learn about Akweley's twin is to ask her in your letters. I know she will love to tell you about her family! Because she is still only 6 years old and letter writing is still a foreign concept to her, our project staff will help her write her letters to you until she is able to on her own. I would encourage you to bullet point or highlight your questions so that it brings attention to them. You are welcome to write letters to members of her family including her twin and even send stickers and other fun paper items to her. Keep in mind that If you address the letter to her sister, it will still be delivered to Akweley because it will be processed under her child reference number and your sponsor number. She will be able to take it home and give it to her sister once she receives it at the project.

Hi Kylie, if you are on Facebook there is a private group of sponsors called Compassion Sponsors/Correspondents Facebook Forum and another just for Correspondents that you can join.  There are at least a few sponsors that have a twin they sponsor (or both kiddos) and there are other sponsors that write to letters to siblings.  Both groups are very helpful for ideas of things to send with your letters.   Since the groups are private a sponsor needs to send an email to request they be added to:
