I would like to get my sponsor family two pigs for Christmas. But I want to know if the pigs will actually go to the family. Also, is there a way to help pay for the food for the animals for my child's family?

Hi Rachel! Regrettably, gifts from the gift catalog do not go directly to your sponsored child. The gifts provided through the Compassion gift catalog look first to provide for children and families with the greatest need. Though your child will most likely not be the beneficiary of your gift for pigs, a child who is in Compassion's program and in need of the animals will! When we give a livestock gift, they not only receive the animal, but also all the resources and training needed to turn the animals into a sustaining income for the family for years to come :).
