I requested to have my name change and I was told I would get a new sponsor number. Why? And now I can't see my letters online. My sponsored child must think I stopped. Help.

Danielle, I am so sorry that happened to you. Simple name changes (when we are not removing someone from the account) should not require a whole new account and sponsor number. :( I would be happy to move your sponsorship back to your original account and change your name but it has been a few months and one letter has been sent in that time. Regrettably, there is no way to transfer the letter record between accounts. I want to make sure that this is what you are wanting to do. Please confirm if you would like me to move your sponsorship back to your original account or to keep things the way they are.

Can the letter be email to me? Yes I want it back to the original account with just the name change. I hope someone let's the person who gave me a new account know what the proper procedure is for just a name.

Danielle, I just requested that we merge those two accounts together for you under the original sponsor number you had. It usually only takes a few days for this change to happen. I will also email that letter to you today!
