I got married and need to change my name from Gerhard to Iyengar (that's spelled with an i). Also, I've been listed as Ms. Gerhard and friends since I sponsored my first child in high school, but for a long time now it has just been me.

Hi Sally! We can change the sponsorship over to an account in your name, but I am not able to simply change the name on your current account due to bank regulations. We would need to create a completely new account in just your name. Since his name is also listed on the account, we also need to hear from Tim to verify that it is ok to remove the child from the current account. He can feel free to email us at socialmedia@compassion.com to confirm. Once that is done, we can move your child over.

Hello! My 2 friends and I decided to sponsor a child 3 years ago while we were in high school, currently there are only 2 of us sponsoring the child and the other friend is no longer helping, but the account is in her name. Hi Haleigh! I would be happy to make you and your friend Kyla the sponsors of Adele instead of Taylor :). Due to tax reasons, I am not able to simply change the name on the account though. I have created a new account under yours and Kyla's name, and your new sponsor number is 07804686.
