I sponsor a child in an area of Mexico which recently had two major earthquakes and I'm concerned about his safety. How can I find out if he is ok?

Hi Gale! We haven't had any information yet regarding children who were impacted by the second earthquake, but so far your boy is not on the list of children affected by the first one. If that information changes, or he was affected by the second earthquake, we will let you know as soon the information becomes available. In this kind of case, no news is actually good news! You can stay updated with the situation and how these disasters have affected Compassion on our crisis report page on the website: https://www.compassion.com/where-we-work/crisis-updates.htm.

Luis, I appreciate your care and concern for your child. I know this part of the world has been hit with quite a few disasters lately - two earthquakes in the span of a week. Right now, we are providing immediate needs and collecting information about the damage. It does look like your child lives in an area that sadly would have at least felt the earthquake. As more information comes in, we always update our crisis page, as Sarah mentioned. Also, please know that we will notify you personally if your child has been affected.
