My husband and I signed up to sponsor two children. The money has been deducted from our account but I have not received an email saying that our sponsorship has been approved allowing us the ability to create an account. When will this happen? We would

Hi Jaclyn! I am so sorry for the confusion with your sponsorship and when you can create an account online! You won't actually receive an email about the sponsorship set up, but you should receive a welcome packet in the mail. Can you give me the child ID for the child you are sponsoring so that I can find your account? -Sarah

Oh Ok. The pamphlets I was given said I would receive an email. The first one is EC038800962 and the second one is PH053500275. I received an email to set up the email preferences. Then I went to the website and set up an account. It already had all of my information filled in but it says I have no children I am sponsoring.

Hi Jaclyn,
Thank you for that information! What email address did you use to sponsor these kiddos? Also, what date did you sponsor and what date did your contribution debit your account? I am not able to locate your account yet, and I am wondering if there is a possible delay. Did you sponsor these sweet kiddos at the Amy Grant and Michael W Smith concert by chance?

I believe we put it under my email...  We did sponsor them from that event. They had mentioned that once the deduction took place we would be able to access everything online. That's why I went to check. I believe it came out of our account yesterday. Then I got the email to set up my account preference. I did that and it had all my personal info so I set up my main account and noticed the children weren't under our sponsorship.

Jaclyn, this is really strange. I found an account under your email address but there have not been any sponsorships on that account for a few years. Renz and Johan are still on hold for the Amy Grant and Michael W Smith concert. It does typically take between two and four weeks for sponsorships to be finalized from events though. When was the concert you were at? And you're sure that we deducted the first payment already? I'm wondering if maybe the account was setup under a different name or something. Do you know what name you put down?

HI Susan,
Yes I am positive that they have taken it out of my account. I can see both deductions on my online bank statement. The concert was on December 2nd. You could check my husbands information. We used his bank card but I filled in my information. But please feel free to check his info. Kristopher Pruett...

Jaclyn, can you email us (socialmedia@compassion.com) a copy of your bank statement showing the withdrawal? We will try to consolidate our records with what you are showing on your end. Thanks!
