Hi,

I just went online and saw that my sponsor child (TZ097000179) has a new photo. Can you verify that this is actually my child? The face is kind of blurry and she looks a lot taller than she does in a gift photo I received earlier this year.

Thank you,

Caroline

Hi Caroline!
I took a look back through the last few photos of Rozi including her latest gift photo, and I am sure that this updated photo is actually of her. I do understand why you would question this, however there are many things that are very consistent in all of these photos. If you take a look at her nose, ears, hairline, and the shape of her lips, they are all the same. I am thankful to let you now this is indeed a new photo of Rozi. :)

Thank you. I think I just wasn't expecting a new photo and it caught me off guard. Can I please get a jpeg of her newest photo?

I also have a couple questions about letters. I send a letter on Aug 23 that is still in the "just submitted" stage. Could you look into getting it pushed through the system (maybe next week, since it will have been more than a month)? I also sent a gift in January and have not received a letter about what my sponsor child used the gift for. Could you send an inquiry about that?

Thank you!

I just got Rozi's new picture. Thank you for sending it. I did see the letter from March 8th, but since Rozi talked about Christmas and her birthday, I assumed it was for the family and birthday gifts I sent in October. That March letter is the only letter I'm seeing for the gifts I sent last October and the family gift I sent in January.

Caroline, I apologize for our confusion. It does look like the letter Sarah was referring to was initiated in November, written in February, and delivered in March which would match the dates for the gifts you sent in October. It is confusing because the letter is labeled as a large gift thank you and the gifts on their own were not $60 or more but maybe the field staff counted it as a large gift thank you because they added up to over $60. This would mean that the very generous gift that you sent in January is still waiting on a thank you letter and I do not see one in the works. I have sent an inquiry to request a thank you letter and photo as soon as possible. We will notify you once we hear back from our field office.

Thank you for looking into this more for me and sending an inquiry. Yes, that does seem to be the project's standard operating procedure to combine Rozi's family and birthday gifts into 1 large gift since I send them at the same time. Thank you all so much for all your help.

Caroline, back in August, I was told that if I wanted gifts to be considered separate, I should send them in separate months because that otherwise they would likely be combined by the project.

Thanks for the info Sarah. I'll have to remember that for the next time I give gifts.

Were you all able to send my Aug 23 letter to your tech team last week? I noticed it's still stuck at "submitted". Thanks!
