I had voicemail late last year that one of my children had left the program because she had aged out. I was happy to support her, but now I see I have a new child that no one communicated with me about.

You should not add new sponsorships without speaking with me in advance. That smells. When I logged into my account today, I noticed that one of my other children had been replaced completely without any kind of notification to me. So now I have two new sponsorships! What is going on?

Michael, I am so sorry for the confusion and frustration that we have caused you with a new child being added to your account. I think the new children you are speaking about are Roselyn in the Philippines and Camila in Bolivia? When a child leaves the program, we send sponsors information on a new child to consider sponsoring. The child info packet contains a letter that explains we do need to hear from you within five weeks if you do not want to sponsor the child or they will remain on your account as an officially sponsored child. I'm so sorry if this letter did not reach you for either of the girls :(. Please know that our heart is simply to find sponsors for children. We have this policy set up because the majority of sponsors do go on to sponsor another child. If you would like me to place Roselyn and Camila back up for sponsorship with someone else, please let me know and I will take care of it right away.
