Hello, I signed up to sponsor a child yesterday. I got a basic welcome email and that is all. I am trying to set up an account, but it is telling me my information is invalid. Customer service says my email is valid, but that it just takes time for the accounts to load up and become active. How long does this process usually take? How long does it usually take to get an email with a donor ID?

Hello, congratulations on sponsoring a child. You will receive a child packet by mail in about 7-10 days. This will have your Sponsor ID and your child's ID as well. You may be able to set up your account before hand. Give it a day or two and try again. Compassion is in the process of upgrading their systems so everything is running a little slow at the moment. Someone who works for Compassion will see this and answer soon as well.
