Hello,
I started sponsoring my little girl from Kenya in May and i have wrote to her a number of times. I know that it takes about 2-3 Months to get a letter from us to them but i was just wondering why the only thing i have gotten from her is the intro letter. I have gotten a letter from my other two that i have started sponsoring at the same time and they have wrote perfectly fine. I infact have a other letter coming from my little boy in India I just want to make sure everything is okay with my little girl in Kenya.

The kids are only required to write 2x per year if you don't write.  When they start getting letters from you, they write every 60 days if they got a letter from you in that time period.  Perhaps you "just missed" that 60 day period with the timing of your letter for her project? In which case, if she got the letter in 3 months, it may be another bit before she responds to it, but she will within 60 days.  It can also take 3 months return..  so that would be 6 months from the time you wrote a first letter to the time you got a reply.

I have a lot of kids and it's quite common for me to wait 5-6 months for a first letter (not counting the intro letter) but once I get that first reply letter it catches up and I start hearing much more often :)

Since you already had an intro letter, you are allowed to inquire if you don't get another letter for 6 months after the intro one and Compassion will look into it for you, but I'd expect you'll start hearing more frequently soon :)

Hope that helps.

Every two months once the letters start :) Occassionally there seems to be a hold up somewhere and I wait 3-4 months from a certain child, but then when I tend to get two really close together and the date written on the letters is 2 months apart still... I tend to get 6-7 letters per year from each child.  With my correspondence kids I have almost 30 kids to base that average on, and I write 1-2 times per month (sometimes more but usually one-two) to each.

Yikes I have 6 Correspondent kids and three sponsor kids. I am on the list for more correspondent kids but i am just waiting for them to add them. So if i keep writing every 2 weeks about every two months i should be getting a letter from them?

Yep for sure :)
And I added that many just a child or two over a period of years, so it doesn't feel like that many kids haha!  I like to wait until I get to know them a bit before requesting another.
