We haven’t heard from our compassion child in over 6 months. Can you let us know if he is ok?

Hello Angie! Compassion requires the children to write to their sponsors two times per year, whether they are receiving letters or not from their sponsors. According to our records, your child, Jasson, answered your last letter written in May 2018 with two letters of his own, one in June and one in August. Since then, I don't see that you had written a reply letter to him before the one you wrote last month. I do see that we have printed your letter and a piece of stationary to be delivered to Jasson. You should hear from him within the next few months as he will begin writing a reply letter soon.

We sent him a letter, a drawing, and thread bracelet in September / October via US mail. Is there anyway to know if he received this?  I do not remember the exact date it was mailed.

Hi Angie,

I am so sorry but it looks like that letter may not have been received by us. The only letters I show on your account were from 5/23/18 and then nothing until 1/19/19. I am so sorry! Also, just for future reference, I do want to clarify a few things about our letter guidelines.

We are very thankful that you desire to send your child gifts and letters. We encourage you to send letters and cards as often as possible. Please know that the only physical items that are able to be sent are musical cards, bookmarks and stickers. All of these items must be 100% paper, except the stickers which may be plastic. Anytime you send something to your child, please make sure to keep it to six pages or less. All letters, coloring pages or pictures will be scanned into an electronic document, unless otherwise noted above, and then printed in the child's country office to be delivered.

I hope this will help going forward. I would just hate for you to spend money and time thinking of fun little gifts to give your child when they sadly will not be able to go through. Thank you for understanding!

Thank you.  We were told at a letter writing party that string bracelets were ok to send.  We will stick to stickers!
