I've been sponsoring a child for about year now, and I haven't received any letters. I have sent a few, but there is no reply. Could it possibly be a mess up, or do you think the child just doesn't want to write?

Jenna, I am so sorry that you have not received any letters from your sweet girl :(. I can hear the love you have for your girl and your desire to foster a meaningful relationship with her. It should only take up to four months to receive your first letter, and I'm so sorry that you have been waiting much longer than that. I have requested to have an inquiry sent to the field office in Haiti. Our field staff will ensure that Claire is doing well, and they will ask her to write you a letter. Regrettably, we are in the process of transitioning to a new system, and all of our transactions and requests will be delayed for the next few weeks. Therefore, it will take a couple of weeks for us to send this inquiry. I have notated your account and will send this inquiry as soon as our system transition is completed. Please know that it may take up to 2 months for us to hear back from the field office. We will be in contact with you as soon as we receive a response. Thank you so much for your grace and patience.
