(ES7821427) since March of 2016 and although we try to write once every week or two (over 20 letters to him so far), we have only received one letter from him. It was the letter that he sent upon learning that he'd received a sponsor and although it was nice, it was rather generic and didn't tell us much about him.
We write often, asking questions so that we can learn more about his life, his prayer requests, etc and have something to talk about with him... we also tell him how we are and what's going on in our lives and we send pictures with each letter.
His birthday is coming up and we sent his birthday gift more than a month ago, and we just sent a Christmas gift for him and for his family as well.
I'd like to say that we enjoy sponsoring Edgar, but at this time, I guess we more enjoy the idea of sponsoring him and are hopeful that it's making a difference in his life. Without any correspondence from him, it's hard to know if we are helping him... and while I'm sure the money we send is being put to good use, we don't know if our words of encouragement, love and support are even getting through to him.
I know that the new system of letter transmission should be in effect by now, so I'm confused as to why we haven't heard from him in so long. Any advice or help would be much appreciated.
PS. His sponsorship is under my husband's name, Randall Lee, if that helps?
