I received a wonderful thank you letter and drawing from my sponsor child, Fabiola. I did not receive a photo with it, and my gift was well over $60. The same thing happened with my other sponsor Taisamo. About a month after contacting you about Taisamo we did receive a photo (he has grown so much!), but no photos of what was purchased. The letter stated they bought a foundation with it. I'm not sure what that means and there was no picture to help. Fabiola's letter thanked me for the gifts but didn't state what was bought or include pictures. I was wondering why the photos aren't coming without an inquiry. I was under the impression the photo came with any gift over $60, which is why we send fewer large gifts as opposed to several smaller ones. I'm also concerned that there are no photos of them with their gifts as one of the biggest reasons I chose Compassion as a sponsor program is because I was supposed to be able to see proof that my gifts are really helping the children and their families. Looking forward to your response.

Hi Diana! I am so sorry that we have not sent you a picture of what Fabiola was able to purchase with your wonderful gifts to her and her family. I have sent an inquiry to our office in Mexico. They will visit with Fabiola's family and send the photo of what was purchased to you. It can take between 6-8 weeks for us to hear back from the Mexico office, but we will let you know as soon as we have word from them.

Is Taisamo standing on something like concrete in his photo? I am just thinking that if so, he might be showing off his "foundation" to you in the photo without you even realizing it. It sounds to me like his family bought a foundation to build a house or something. I can take a look at the photo for you if that would help. You can email it to me at socialmedia@compassion.com

Photos are supposed to be sent with any gift that is sent over $60, but sometimes mistakes can be made. We recently changed the way the Compassion projects were collecting information on each child and there is a bit of a learning curve to it. Rest assured that your gifts are being used to bless and help Fabiola and Taisamo's families significantly. We will send you the photo of Fabiola's gift as soon as we receive it.
