Not being debited? Nothing in post

Since I have signed up to sponsor a child and chosen my child and sent them a letter I haven’t received any confirmation via post and my account hasn’t been debited? What’s going on....

  • confused and sad this is taking so long! How will they be helped if I don’t even have a sponsor number yet?

Hello Youliana! Thank you for reaching out to us today. According to our records, your attempt to sponsor a child regrettably did not go through, because our system showed that you had an address of one of our partner countries. In what country do you live? We may be able to connect you with that country's office to see if your sponsorship was transferred there.

Thank you so much for that information! I do see that Linah is on our U.S. site, on an online hold. Probably the easiest way to start sponsoring a child is to restart the process on our Australian site, www.compassion.com.au. Are you alright with sponsoring a different child through that site?

How does this online hold get removed? You have no idea the immense guilt I feel that it went wrong? All this time someone could have helped her but it was my fault she was put on hold and now she’s not even available to anyone.
Plus I already wrote her a letter.

I really wanted to sponsor her...... sorry for the rambling. Is that at all possible?

You'll want to email them at compassion@compassion.com.au just to make sure the hold went through successfully, but that sponsorship should have been transferred. It's just taking a while to finish all the details!
