Hi Susan,

I have yet to hear from Scovia, Axel, Suchona, Endalkachew, Galo, Cesar, Jose, Srinithy, Sowmiya, or Gabriela (but she is new so I'm not expecting anything yet from Gabriela).

I just want the above children to know they have been matched with someone.  I continue to write them letters.  The letter writing is for their glory not mine but I worry they do not know someone is there loving them through letters.

Hi Laura,

While it takes two to three months for letters to go back and forth, the news that a child has a sponsor or a correspondent usually is delivered to the child with  a month or so. I would imagine that most if not all of your children are aware that you are invested in their lives. I assure you that what you are doing is really making a difference and your children know that you have chosen to write to them. You have about six letters on the way from our field offices to our USA office so I would imagine that you will be getting letters from these children very soon.

The first letter from a financially sponsored child should come within four months of having sponsored that child. Because of our letter writing system though, correspondent sponsors should expect their first letter from their correspondent children within six months of having been assigned to that child. Axel was the first correspondent assigned in the list you mentioned above, and he was assigned in February 2014. This means that we would need to wait until August 25 to send an inquiry  about lack of letters from him.

I have received most of my letters from my kids in Honduras, Equador and Tanzania within 6 weeks of them writing the letter, so I am very grateful and pleased with that turn-around time.  I hope you get your letters from them soon!!!
