Carl, I don't know the date of the Rock 'n' Worship show you were at, but the volunteers at the table have to take the forms home then mail them in. Depending on how quickly they got that done, it can take a little while. I think when I sponsored my first child, it was about 10 days before Compassion got me registered in the system, I think that's pretty normal.

Hi Carl! Welcome to Compassion! We are so excited that you have chosen to help release a child from poverty in Jesus' name! Thank you! I apologize for confusion caused on the delay in getting your sponsorship processed. As Mellanie mentioned it does take some time for sponsorships to be finalized after events like the Rock n' Worship Roadshow. Typically it is about two to four weeks. However, just as soon as we have you in our system we will be sending you some additional information in the mail. You are also welcome to check back and we would be happy to email you your sponsor number so that you can get setup with an online account.

Hi Susan. Would it be easier for people to take the packets home and call the office and set up the sponsorship that way? I've worked at a few events and told people they can call the office and set it up. Most people had filled out the information at the event and left it with us to give to the person in charge of the event. Even some volunteers had signed up to sponsor more kids.

William, I love that you are thinking creatively to help serve sponsors better! Also, thanks for volunteering to help children find loving sponsors! Your work is much appreciated and never in vain! :) You are welcome to call in the sponsorships to 800-336-7676. Please make sure to shred all sign-up forms as soon as you are done. We are working on systems to help decrease the time that it takes to finalize sponsorships from events in the future. This means that in the next few years, sponsorships will actually be setup automatically right there at the table on an iPad rather than through forms that are mailed in. Stay tuned!
