On the website, it says I'm not sponsoring a child, but I am.

I just got my letter from compassion after signing up at D2S, and it gave me all the information I needed. I got on the website to try to write my letter and make payments, but it says that I'm not sponsoring a child, but I am, like it said in the packet I got in the mail. How can I fix this quickly so I can start writing and sending payments? Thanks a bunch, Hailey

I was wondering the same thing, do I have to wait and you will automatically make the first payment? or no?

Jacqueline, it really depends on how you signed up and whether you signed up for the automatic withdrawal when you filled out the form. If you signed up at an event and signed up to automatically be charged, we will charge the first donation when the sponsorship is finalized. Typically this can take two to four weeks after events. Regrettably, I could not locate your record to see where you are at in this process. Please post your child's ID number here and I will check for you.

Thank you Susan, that makes sense, I just filled out the info to sponsor at an event. I just need to be more patient, her id is EC-340-1736, I suppose its also to early to start sending letters?

Jacqueline, I just checked up on your child and we have not yet created an account for you. We will do this as soon as we receive your information in our office :).

If you would like, you're welcome to email us at socialmedia@compassion.com or call our office at 800-336-7676 and provide your contact information and we are able to set your account up sooner and place your child on your accoutn. Otherwise, we will mail you further information on your sponsorship and instructions on writing a letter once your account is setup.

My friends and I have been sponsoring Benjamin Ramos of Bolivia for over a year and eight months but the website told me that we don't have any sponsorship. This made me think that Benjamin was taken out of the compassion program. Can You guys just confirm with me that it is just a website error?

Hi Myoung! Oh no! I can imagine that not seeing Benjamin must have been disconcerting. :( I have checked your account and can confirm that he is still in our program and you are still sponsoring him. I apologize as our website must have been having issues at the time.
