I just saw the new letter writing tool and it looks great but am really curious about how the children receive their letters from this format? Are they printed out and sent to them? I just want to be sure that they are getting a tangible letter so that they have it to keep. Also, is the time that they get letters through this avenue faster? Our 2 girls are in Ethiopia. Thanks!

Hi Leah!
Currently the letters are printed in our office here in Colorado Springs, and then sent to your child. Our hope is to eventually send the letters directly to the country offices for them to print out. Your child will receive a tangible letter, and it will appear on the template you selected online. It still takes about 2 months for your child to receive the letter, but again this will change once the letters are printed in the country office!

Thanks for being a blessing and writing your children!

I was wondering the same thing thanks for the answer. I am also wondering about the pictures that are attached online. How does my child receive the pictures I post with the online letter?

The pictures are printed on the stationery, at the bottom of the page in full color. You can attach up to three pictures.

I know we can write to our sponsored child via internet now. How do they recieve it? Is it printed out?
Which do you think is the best way. Internet seems a little inpersonable. But I like that it gets there quicker. Which is BEST?

I think that a combination of both letters written online and by hand is best- but really, it'
s whatever works for you!
