I know you all scan letters now and don’t send the originals, but I’m an artist and would like to paint something to send to my child. As long as I stay within the size range, would she be able to receive the original of something like that?

You could try and paint a book mark to see if it goes through. (Not an employee just an idea)

Mary Julia, this is such a wonderfully thoughtful and generous idea! Regrettably, original artwork would not be able to be sent, unless it is a pop-up greeting card or bookmark. I apologize but we are not able to make any exceptions at this time. Some other ideas and suggestions that would work include making a print and sending that or physically delivering the artwork if you or a friend are traveling to your child's country. Again, I am very sorry we cannot accommodate your request directly. Please let me know if you have any questions about the suggestions I have given.
