I accidently over paid my monthly sponsorship agreement. I meant to pay for November and December (I missed Nov.), and I somehow did it twice. My payment should have been $76 for the two months, but instead I ended up paying $152. Is there any way of getting reimbursed for the extra $76? I plan to continue sponsoring monthly, but budget for the $38 a month.

I accidently overpaid on my monthly donation. I am budgeted for a certain amount. I missed November's payment so I was trying to pay for both November and December. It should have been $76 for the two months, and I accidently submitted my payment twice, which ended up being $152. How can I be reimbursed so that I don't go over my personal budget?

Hi Jeni! I'm so sorry for the mistake with your donations :(. I've done that before too :). Please rest assured that I have sent a refund request to return the extra $76 back to you as soon as possible. However, this may take a couple of business days to process. Christina, this same exact thing happened to me except I paid twice in November thinking that the second payment would be applied to December. Instead, it used both payments for that month (I think?) and then asked for $114 earlier this month. I'm very confused! It also messed up my budget a little. If you could look into it for me as well that'd be great :)

Samuel, oh no! I am happy to help you get this straightened out. It does look like something got mixed up somewhere. Here is what I am looking at:

November donation
  • $38 went towards Disaster Relief
  • A total of $49 went towards some gifts through the Gift Catalog

December donation
  • $20 went towards a gift for your child
  • $18 went towards the Where Most Needed Fund
  • $114 went towards the monthly support to pull it through the end of December
Did you intend the first $38 to go towards the monthly support? If so, you would now be current through the end of January. Please let me know if you would like any of these donations changed or refunded. We're happy to  help!
