I was asked at a recent Compassion Sunday event by one of the members of my church how many kids I have now. While that is an easy question to answer (I currently sponsor three), I realized I was curious about how many kids I've had total over the years. Is there any way to find out who I've had? I've been sponsoring since I was about 16, so that is quite a lot of years to go back through, but I'd love to reminisce about my kids and remember their names and faces. (Also, this might be a stretch, but is there any way to get old photos of my kids?? I would LOVE to make a scrapbook of them and watch them 'grow up' with each new photo update.)

Hi Rachel
I like to look at past children's letters and pictures too.I have found them in the archives on my phone app. they only go back to 2011 .I have not found them before that
Also if a child correspondent is dropped I found a reply letter on archives after they were taken off my account.
I hope this helps . Thank you for sharing love of christ through letter writing and sponsoring children

Thank you! That was perfect! :) Also, along those lines (and I can put this in the idea section too if that is a better place for it), I was noticing I've sponsored kids from five countries so far. It would be cool if there was a 'stats' page where it could tell sponsors which countries they sponsored from, or what percentage of boys vs girls they've had, or which age groups they prefer. It might inspire people to move beyond their usual and typical and try something new! Or even 'collect the whole set' of country options, as it were. Now that I know I tend towards certain countries, it would be fun to branch out and try some other ones too. :)

Honestly I just wish they noticed that most of my kids were from Ecuador so they would only offer me kids from Ecuador to sponsor (though honestly, our pull to kids is so individualized even that would not necessarily "hit a nerve" -- which is why we asked Compassion not to choose children for us to sponsor but to let us choose our own)

Hi Rachel and Sarah! Thank you so much for sharing your feedback. We are always looking for ways to improve and suggestions like these really help in that process.

Sarah, thank you so much for your desire to sponsor children in Ecuador. I was able to take a look at your account and confirm that your preferences have been set for Compassion to never send you information on a new child when one of your current sponsor children have left our program. If you would like for our team to leave a specific note on your account to send you information on children only from Ecuador for sponsorship when one of your current sponsorships has ended, we are happy to accommodate this for you. Please reply to this comment or email out team at if this is something you are interested in.
