Hi,

I'm sponsor number 00989556 and back in September I had contacted Compassion about not being able to pay for my sponsorships on time because of medical issues, specifically going through thyroid cancer and treatment. I was told I'd have a grace period through the end of the year and then be charged I think $19 as a reduced amount. But I've received a bill saying I owe past payments. I'm confused. Why isn't any of these changes on my account? Can someone explain or advise what has been decided? I'm able to now continue making payments going forward on our account but cannot pay the full $228 being asked. Does that $228 include two months of payments for December and now January for three sponsored children? The amount per child does not indicate a reduction. Please advise.

Kimariepina, I am very sorry for the confusion. The $228 includes December and January for all three children. It looks like we had covered a few months and then offered to lower the rate after that but then we had not received confirmation that that was what you wanted to do. All that said, it sounds like you have quite a bit going on in your life and I am not sure how clear our offer was in our email. I just took care of everything to lower your support amount to $19 per child ($57 per month) between December and April. I genuinely hope that things go better for you this year in 2018.

Thanks for clearing that up! I remember in the original reply that the sponsor relations contact told me I didn't have to reply to their message, that they would change it automatically. So that's why I didn't confirm with you all. I appreciate the change in the amount and will send my payment in this month. Thank you!
